Afghan Irish Knit Limerick :: Knitted :: Handmade Catalog

Be sure to visit Gramma's Knits for some of thee finest, hand crafted knitted goods on the net!

You don't have to be Irish to appreciate the beauty of these patterns. They all tell a story or are from specific villages of Ireland. The folks there can tell were a fisherman comes from by the sweater he wears. I make my afghans with a wool blend for softness and durability, yet they are machine washable. I do use the traditional Aran color but am glad to make them of other materials or colors. They are aprox. 4 1/2' - 5' wide by 5 1'2' - 6' long. Since the popularity of fringe comes and goes, I do not add fringe unless requested, at no extra charge.
